I am the father of a wonderful four year old. He is a challenge and a delight and to look into his eyes is to know the spirit of love. Liam is already a successful chef (he’s mastered the one hand egg crack). He is a an avid story teller and, like all good story tellers, he knows not to ruin a good story with the truth.
I am also a jr. high and high school art teacher. I spend my days with crazy and fantastic teenagers. They can also be a challenge and do not seem to have yet grasped the beauty of silence. Still, they are wonderful students and I have the rare pleasure of truly enjoying my job. It was a shock to move from teaching college age students to thirteen year-olds, but after a brief adjustment I can say that this is the age group that I belong working with and would not go back to the college level.
Of course, one still needs to get away for a little fishing from time to time! This is me last summer, camping and fishing along the Chama Wilderness area outside of Santa Fe.
I am a painter, a teacher, and a father. I have been a professional artist for thirteen years now and am still fascinated by the seemingly endless possibilities within the creative mind. Using imagery as a visual language to discuss the inner most sanctums of the mind and spirit, is an energizing experience as well as a fundamental form of human communication.
